The 2008 Alliance Award was presented to James Kostic of Rowan University at the SJMCA 36th Annual Golf Outing.
Mr. Kostic is a student of mechanical engineering at Rowan University. In his undergraduate work he took an interest in the design, build and fabrication of steering systems for off-road racing vehicles as well as working with a team on a desing project, "Development of a Low-Cost Pulse Generator for Cryocooling Applications" for the US Navy. James was the team leader on the Navy project and made many impressive efforts in researching the problem and developing design ideas. He plans to continue his research in this area at Rowan next year as a graduate student.
