SJMCA Toys for Tots 2020 - (11/16/2020)
WE NEED YOUR HELP! This year as the holiday season begins, we reflect on the many things COVID has affected, especially children.
For the past 15 years, SJMCA and UA Local 322 have participated in the Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots program. Collecting toys at our holiday event has been a joyful feature to our gathering. This year, we will be unable to gather, and we do not want the children to be overlooked. 2020 has already challenged their daily life, so we come to you with a new way to brighten their holiday wishes.
In the words of Pamela Maynor, Captain of the Toys for Tots Kroc Center program "We are deeply grateful and truly in need of toys, particularly this year. Last year we served 450 families, and this year we are serving over 1,400—that’s over 4,000 children! It is proving to be a year where greater need has been expressed!"
Your support is truly necessary. We have two options for participating:
- YOU DO THE SHOPPING, gather the unwrapped toys in your office and we will pick them up on a pre-arranged date November 30th, December 1st, 3rd or 4th. Consider making this your office holiday gifting program.
- LET OUR ELVES DO THE SHOPPING FOR YOU … just send us an email letting us know the amount of your donation, mail the check (payble to SJMCA) and we will purchase and deliver the toys.
We are asking our construction community to adapt and continue to show the generosity that has been evident in the past. If you are willing to participate, please respond by email letting us know which option you prefer. (info@sjmca.org).
As we begin the 2020 holiday season, the SJMCA staff remains truly thankful for all our members and extends our best wishes of health and happiness to you and your families.
